Nigeria To Play Angola Friendly In Abuja Despite Country's Current Condition
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced that the friendly match against Angola will be played in Abuja as opposed to an earlier decision to play it in Benin Republic due to the Nationwide protests.
The match will be played on Wednesday, January 11 and the Angolans are expected to arrive in the country on Tuesday.
Media reports claim that youth and sports minister Bolaji Abdullahi instructed that the game be brought back so as not to give the impression that the country is unsafe.
According to NFF spokesman Ademola Olajire, the time of the match has not yet been fixed.
