Robert De Niro tells Jay-Z he is 'disrespectful' during argument in New York

Screen legend Robert De Niro was reported to have put rapper jay-Z in his collective place during a very heated confrontation between the two at Leonardo Di Caprio’s birthday bash in New York. Radar Online reported on Thursday, Nov.15., that De Niro called Jay-Z “disrespectful” for not returning the Oscar award winners phone calls.

Here is what was reported to have gone down between Robert De Niro and Jay-Z. During Leo’s birthday party at the Darby, De Niro confronted Jay-Z about the rapper never returning one of the many phone calls the “Cape Fear” star made to the rapper about recording a song for De Niro’s Tribeca Film Festival.

A source that witnessed the event stated to the NY Post that “Bob was sitting at a table, and when Jay-Z went over to say hello, De Niro let Jay-Z have it.

“He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude,” the source said, adding that Jay-Z’s wife Beyonce tried to smooth things over, but De Niro’s tone didn’t change.

The witness stated that Jay-Z tried to explain to De Niro that he’s not good with the phone, but “De Niro kept telling him that he thinks he’s the man, but that he was disrespectful.’”

Several A-List celebs, including De Niro’s Goodfellas director Martin Scorsese, Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz, Jonah Hill, Edward Norton, Chris Rock and Emma Watson were all witness to De Niro’s wrath that he unleashed on Jay-Z.

The run-in between Robert De Niro and Jay-Z was the highlight of the party according to some of the guests, who also stated that they would not want to be the one on Robert De Niro’s bad side claiming that when angered he is one scary man.
